Originally from Ireland, now happily settled in Cheshire, I’m over twenty years deep into a career in media, PR and brand communications that I genuinely love. I’ve worked with founders building something from scratch, leaders navigating scrutiny they weren’t prepared for, NHS trusts, local government bodies, SMEs and authors, managing brand communications from every angle, inside and out.

And the one thing all of that experience taught me?

The businesses and organisations that get remembered aren’t always the best at what they do. They’re the best at communicating it.

Here’s the hill I will die on. Communications isn’t a department. It’s the whole damn business. Every conversation, every piece of content, every media appearance, every crisis navigated, it all says something about who you are. The question is whether it’s saying what you actually intended.
